Eryn and Garrett’s Whimsical Ranch Wedding in the Rockies

During my first conversation with Eryn and Garrett about their wedding, I knew we would be fast friends. This kind couple dreamt of traveling from Texas to have a “true Colorado wedding” in the mountains of Colorado. The ceremony and reception took place at The Spires Ranch, a majestic mountain venue that offers the most breathtaking views of the iconic Cathedral Spires from every vantage point.

The day started off with the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready at an Airbnb in town, as we prepared for the dreamiest of days. Once she was outfitted in her beautiful dress, I brought Eryn to a field I’d scouted on the way into town for her bridal portraits, where we had a magical time dancing around to Taylor Swift’s evermore album and getting excited for the couple’s union.

After Garrett arrived at the field, they shared a special first touch before wandering farther into nature for their first look. The moment was made even more special as Garrett surprised Eryn by bringing his guitar and serenading her, adding a romantic touch to the already emotional moment. Following their portraits together, we caravanned to The Spires Ranch for wedding party portraits before hiding away for the ceremony.

The ceremony was held on the grounds of the ranch, with the stunning Cathedral Spires in the background, adding a picturesque touch to the already beautiful event. As a special surprise, the owners of Spires Ranch had a mule bring Eryn up the hill during the procession. The scenic ceremony included heartfelt vows and a string uniting ceremony that brought everyone, including me, to tears.

The reception that followed was bathed in the most majestic sunset I’ve ever seen, which lit up dinner hour with a fiery glow. Supper featured a delicious breakfast for dinner which was an outstanding hit and dessert included a donut tower that Eryn and Garrett triumphantly cut. Once the sun set, the dance floor came to life. The music was amazing and the dance moves were truly impressive. When the DJ called for the last song, the guests had been ushered out so the newlyweds could enjoy a private last dance. Their friends and family were waiting outside the tent with a candlelit send off, marking the end of a perfect and dreamy destination wedding.

I will be forever grateful for Eryn, Garrett, and the privilege of being by their sides on this spectacular day.
