As a photographer, I have the privilege of capturing the emotions of families entering into new stages of life together. Recently, I had the honor of working with a delightful couple from Colorado Springs, Lacey and Reid, and their furry companion Luna for a maternity photo session. In this post, I’ll highlight some of the key moments from the session and why having a maternity photo shoot is a meaningful way to commemorate this time in your life.
When I arrived at Mesa Overlook, Lacey and Reid were all grins, excited to showcase Lacey’s cute baby bump and their excitement for the new addition to their family. The addition of their sweet puppy Luna added even more cheer to the already lighthearted atmosphere.
Lacey and Reid were a joy to work with. Their love for each other was palpable and their eagerness for starting a family was evident. The entire session was filled with laughter and the light peaking over Garden of the Gods made for a perfect backdrop.
Having a maternity photo session is an excellent way to commemorate the love and excitement surrounding the arrival of your new bundle of joy. It’s also a wonderful moment to capture how beautiful mothers and motherhood are! I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Lacey and Reid’s sweet family for their maternity photo session, as well as their daughter’s newborn photos later on in the year. They are such a fun, kind pair, and I was so happy to see them again as new parents!
